Energizer Night was once again a full house, with 39 local organizations and community groups coming together to connect with residents and with one another.
Hosted by Little Lake Locals, the fall event provided an opportunity for families, individuals and community members to learn more about the programs, services, activities and resources available in Chestermere and the surrounding area.
The evening was busy from start to finish, with plenty of conversations and connections happening between participating organizations. From sports and recreation to health and wellness, seniors’ services, schools, nonprofits, arts and culture, and community organizations, there was something for everyone.
The Chestermere Public Library also made use of the Recreation Centre lobby to gather community input through its business plan survey, giving residents another opportunity to share their thoughts and help shape local services.
Participating organizations included Little Lake Locals, Chestermere Parent & Caregiver Support Services, Chestermere Food Bank, Calgary Yacht Club, Chestermere Women’s Crisis Society, Older Adults’ Coalition of Chestermere, Chestermere Whitecappers, St. Gabriel Parish, Twirl Dance Studio, Chestermere Historical Society, Chestermere Curling Club, Chestermere Mustangs Junior Hockey Team, Calgary Adapted Hub, Chestermere Rotary Club, Rocky View Schools, Luna PLAY Kids, Indus Ringette Association, Chestermere Public Library, Ice Edge Skating Club, Chestermere Chamber of Commerce, Chestermere United FC, Synergy, Chestermere Skating School, The City of Chestermere, Kepler Academy, CTC Martial Arts, Camp Chestermere, Prince of Peace Manor, Young Bhangra, Menttora, Calgary Rural Primary Care Network, StarLites Permanent Lights and True North Society.
With a full house, new connections being made and a strong showing from organizations across the community, the evening was a great reminder of just how much is happening in and around Chestermere.
