Chestermere, Alta. – On Aug. 24, 2026, Chestermere RCMP, in partnership with the Alberta Sheriffs FASST South team, conducted a targeted warrant roundup across the City of Chestermere.
The initiative brought RCMP and Alberta Sheriffs members together to locate individuals with outstanding warrants, conduct follow-up investigations, and gather intelligence to support future enforcement activities.
Members attended numerous residences throughout Chestermere and worked collaboratively to locate and address outstanding warrants. Community engagement during the initiative was very positive, with members receiving appreciation and support from residents for their efforts to locate individuals wanted by police.
The roundup resulted in the following:
- 5 fugitives arrested
- 10 warrants executed, involving offences including theft, failing to abide by release conditions, and failing to appear in court
- 18 investigations resulting in information expected to assist with future arrests
- 4 investigations producing intelligence regarding targets who may be leaving the province or country, directly supporting the efficiency of future investigations
- 29 residences attended throughout the City of Chestermere
Targets identified as residing outside the City of Chestermere have been added to the Alberta Sheriffs FASST South target list and will be addressed as resources and operational priorities allow. Several additional targets were contacted by telephone. Follow-up action will be conducted to ensure outstanding fines are addressed and paid where applicable.
