Join Synergy for the annual Duck Race, a beloved summer tradition that brings fun and community spirit to Chestermere. Each year, from July through early August, residents can sponsor rubber ducks for just $10 at local stores, online, or during community events for a chance to win amazing prizes!
This year, we are modelling our race to that of The Amazing Race whereby we will have 5 teams of two competing through an obstacle course to collect sponsored ducks along the way! The race will take place in John Peake Park this August and will feature challenges such as yard games, sports and swimming. Our racers are fellow community members and in the past we have also had local heroes from the Chestermere RCMP and Chestermere Fire Department compete. The winning racing team will also determine the top five prize winners based on the ducks that were acquired during the race!!
Other fun additions to the Duck Race this year, is the youth vendors market and the service of food trucks! Stick around, browse and shop some of our local youth’s displays. Community resources will also be on site for you to learn more about. There will be handmade items and other goodies. Enjoy a meal at one of 3 food trucks! All are welcome!
This fundraiser is not only a fun-filled event but also helps sustain many of the programs Synergy offers throughout the year including our no-cost youth programs and community-based initiatives. These programs create opportunities for youth and community members to connect, gain self-confidence, find a sense of belonging, and discover their passions while developing leadership skills.
